I recently traveled to Chicago, where I took this photoset. Chicago is a beautiful city, smaller than New York with not nearly as many people, but still bustling with culture—from art to theater. The weather is actually quite cold, compared to that of the East Coast, as I found myself even needing to wear a sweatshirt at times (in the summer!).
I love this outfit because it evokes a city chic style, with my top and bottom pairing as if it were intended to be a set, connected through their similar zipper detail. Recently, I’ve been adding more color into my wardrobe and I love it. The shirt I have on was inspired by the movie Kill Bill, in which the main character wears a similarly colored yellow and black jumpsuit. This bright yellow creates a sense of sunshine and electricity that isn’t too neon or distracting to be worn on a regular basis. My gingham pants serve as a versatile piece in my wardrobe, because the pattern is not too obvious, yet is able to create texture and style.
