As some of you may or may not know, February is a fashion month as during each week there is a fashion week being held. In New York, it happens to be this week, and I was very fortunate to be able to attend. Since I was invited to only a few shows, I had plenty of time to embrace my photography side and shoot some street style. Despite my numb hands and my paparazzi esq identity, I was able to capture some really good looks and some notable people, such as Aimee Song, Danielle Bernstein, Caroline Vreeland, Shea Marie, and Camille Charriere. Through my photography, I was also able to meet with and talk to a lot of different people in the fashion industry and this day seemed like my induction into the fashion world, surrounded by successful, stylish individuals. A commonality among the looks were the coats, many of them long with a fur texture, as well as sunglasses that enhanced the personality of each look with the different shapes and colors. Everything about each look, from the hair and makeup to the specific belt, created a stand-out image that caught everyone’s eyes in a sea of people. There’s something about style that is far beyond the price tag but rather it embellishes the wearer and gives him or her a distinct personality infused with confidence.
