January is coming to an end. It seems like New Year’s Eve was just yesterday, but anyways I am super excited for February. Although, I probably won’t have a Valentine, I still can’t wait to have an excuse to eat all the chocolate I want and binge watch sappy movies. February is also my birthday month and I will be taking a super amazing trip that I will definitely document on here. In this month’s favorites, I included a variety of categories, including beauty, fashion, music, and more.
The first thing I’ve been loving is my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. Although, this product is a bit more expensive, I believe that it’s completely worth it. Compared to my previous foundation, Covergirl’s Outlast Foundation, which oxidized and was quite cakey, this foundation is better on so many levels. It is such a smooth formula and blends well with my skin. It also has such great coverage even with a small amount of product.
My next favorite is another beauty favorite- my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. This is hands down my holy grail eyebrow product because it fills in my eyebrows so naturally and has a super precise pencil tip that is so easy to apply. This product has always been hyped and praised, and I can say that it is definitely worth the hype.
I’ve also been wearing my Vans Sk8 Lows all the time. These shoes are so comfortable and I’m not afraid to mess around in them, since they are so reasonably priced. My Vans go with everything, as they’re so classic yet unlike any other athleisure sneaker.
To go along with the athleisure favorites, I’ve been loving sweats, whether it be sweatpants, sweatshirts, or in a set- as I mentioned in my previous post. These things are so comfy yet stylish and there are so many brands I love, such as Champion, Shadow Hill, etc.
Some accessories I’ve been loving are chain chokers and hoop earrings. If you know me personally, you would know that I also wear these non-stop. Chain chokers are so dainty and classy and when they are layered, really spices up a look. Hoop earrings are something I live in because like chain chokers, they really add to a look.
Music I’ve been listening to this month are J Cole’s new album, Somebody Else by VÉRITÉ, Not Nice by Party Next Door, Living Single by Big Sean, iSpy by Lil Yachty and Kyle, as well as Trust Nobody by Cashmere Cat, Tory Lanez, and Selena Gomez.
Since unfortunately it’s still winter, I’ve been loving my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer Gel. This is a super light weight, but extremely moisturizing lotion. For someone like me who has an oily T-zone, this is perfect because it doesn’t make me super oily but still hydrates my skin very well.
Finally, my last favorite is the Dreamlands Exhibition at the Whitney Museum. This was such a mind blowing and fascinating exhibition, because it completely warped my perception of film art. The exhibition showcased different works of art that used film as the medium; however, there was nothing like your typical movie being projected. Each work highlighted aesthetic, with props such as oranges on the floor, pink lights, and pitch black rooms. If you have a chance to stop by in NYC before February 5th, be sure to visit this exhibit.
