Fashion inspiration doesn’t have to only be derived from fashion blogs, magazines, the runway, etc. There’s fashion inspiration everywhere around us. As long as you look hard and creatively enough, so many original fashion ideas can be found.
1. Architecture- Different styles of buildings, floors, etc. can be used as fashion inspiration. For example, a run down building with graffiti writing and broke
n windows probably developed the grunge style. Grunge incorporates a lot bold items, with rips, holes, Doc Martens- kind of style. These all follow the same pattern of being not exactly the classy type, and appear as very daring. In a way, the graffiti covered wall, is run-down and incomplete, worn-out, just like the fashion. Among the other orderly buildings, this building seems to stand out in a positive, interesting, and artistic way. Likewise, the same ideology can be incorporated into any type of architecture.
2. Nature- A lot of designers are inspired by nature and its stunning natural beauty. This one is rather obvious, because so many patterns and designs incorporate nature.
From florals to animal prints, items with these prints are actually quite popular. When seeing something in nature that catches your eye, be sure to think about how it would go into a piece of clothing or an accessory.
3. Music- Music greatly inspires fashion, as each style of music comes with a style of fashion. For example, Coachella and other similar music festivals have created a music festival trend. The music festival usually takes place at a large grassy field, with the sun shining, the nature aspect that becomes incorporated into the style. The music generally gives off this breezy, good vibes feel and the festival itself is pretty crazy and wild. These all factor into the result of a boho, indie, hippie style. Similarly, the genres of rap and hip hop are generally associated with a grungy street style. If you really think about it, each genre of music can be identified by a style of fashion as well.
